Discussion:
Scott County notified the city of two tax-forfeited properties that are available for purchase. It is uncertain as to the history of these remnant outlot parcels.
PID 271310950 (Outlot B, Hauer's 4th Addition) is located along Vierling Drive just south of Eagle Creek Boulevard (see attached figure). The outlot is 0.116 acres of property that is unbuildable which is immediately adjacent to the roadway right-of-way, existing as heavily vegetated wooded land adjacent to a public sidewalk. As part of the future proposed improvements along Eagle Creek Boulevard and at the intersection with Veirling Drive, the existing driveway in the southwest corner of the intersection located at 2860 Eagle Creek Boulevard may need to be relocated. Outlot B is the most probable location and purchasing it would preserve access to the city roadway right-of-way for this property should the driveway be relocated.
PID 274010550 (Outlot A, Ridge View Estates) is located along Pike Lake Road just south of Crossings Boulevard, which is currently under construction (see attached figure). The outlot is 0.699 acres of property that is unbuildable which exists mostly as vegetated upper wetland buffer area and/or wetland area. The adjacent land to the east is 31 acres that is proposed to be maintained as city parks and open space, enhancing the area with the realignment of the Prior Lake Outlet Channel, improving the quality of the adjacent wetland and storm water treatment areas, as well as creating a nature park setting and features. Outlot A is an approximate 60-foot wide parcel that exists between this 31 acre parcel and the Pike Lake Road right-of-way that would be blended in with the proposed open space of the adjacent parcel to the east.
