The IT Analyst position is designed to proactively work with all city departments to continuously improve their efficiency and translate their business processes into valuable software solutions enhancing customer service. With application security being a top priority, it is critical we keep current software systems up-to-date and build strong vendor relationships as we continue to integrate many of our systems. 

This combination of a strong technical resource and the knowledge of business process is key to proactively using all city resources effectively and efficiently. This position will drive and support current systems and work individually with each department to plan and implement new innovative technologies. The level of this position is consistent with other local city's staff performing similar duties and level of experience.

This request is not to add a new position to the department; the authorized FTE for the IT Division will still be 5 FTE.
