The Pullman Club has submitted a request to use a section of the public parking lot in front of their business for an event. A map is attached for your review.

Along with the request they are asking the council to suspend city code 114.11 consumption and possession of alcoholic beverages on street, public property, private parking lots to which the public has access, and other private property during these events. No glass containers will be used. All alcohol will be purchased within the Pullman Club and participants going outside will have wristbands. Pullman staff will be monitoring the event from the tented area. The Alzheimer Fundraiser will be held on August 4 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

They have requested that the Public Works department post no parking signs in three parking spots the day before the event.

This item was missed during the preparation of the last council meeting agenda by staff. City Attorney instructed us that in light of the fact that the council has never denied one of these types of permits he was comfortable with the city administrator approving this request. However, the council should ratify the administrators decision at this meeting.
