Discussion:
On May 15, 2018, City Council awarded the Vierling Drive Phase 2 Project to Eureka Construction, Inc. Eureka began construction on May 29, 2018 that included constructing the roadway, storm sewer, streetscaping, and storm water pond.
On June 5, 2018, the EDA provided direction to staff to move forward with an offer from OPUS Development pertaining to the EDA-owned property adjacent to and south of Verling Drive (see attached development layout). It was noted at that time that the proposed OPUS layout would impact the current Vierling Drive roadway project, requiring redesign of the ponding to include a new pond to the rear of the proposed development with other smaller changes relative to the roadway portion of the project.
The redesign has been completed and the attached Change Order includes the necessary work (see attached plan revision). A summary of the work as part of this change order includes additional storm sewer, excavation, debris/foundation removal, concrete driveway pavement, trees/shrubs, turf establishment, clay liner, infiltration topsoil, debris/rock removal, clearing and grubbing of trees, and fence removal.
