In August, the city advertised for volunteers that would be interested in filling the vacancy on the Police Civil Service Commission. On September 19, the interview panel interviewed a total of 2 applicants. A third applicant removed himself from consideration prior to his interview.

After reviewing the qualifications, the interview committee is recommending Sean Corrigan to fill the remaining term of the vacancy that expires February 28, 2020.
