For the last two decades the police department has used asset forfeitures to help keep our community safe. State law governs how and when forfeitures can take place as well as how funds can be used. There is often a great deal of misinformation surrounding asset forfeitures. Captain Chris Dellwo and Lisa Skoog from the Scott County Attorney's Office will walk council through the entire forfeiture process, including audit requirements.
