Adopt Resolution R2018-132, adopting assessments for the 2017 Alley Reconstruction Project 2017-6.
Recommendation:
Adopt Resolution R2018-132.
Discussion:

On June 6, 2017, City Council approved the plans and specifications and ordered the advertisement for bids for the 2017 Alley Reconstruction, Project 2017-6. On July 18, 2017, City Council accepted the bids and awarded the contract for the 2017 Alley Reconstruction Project.

The project has subsequently been completed, and on October 16, 2018, City Council adopted Resolution R2018-117, declaring the costs to be assessed, ordering the preparation of proposed assessments, and setting a public hearing date for November 20, 2018, for the 2017 Alley Reconstruction Project 2017-6.

This project is complete, project costs are identified, and only miscellaneous warranty items remain to be completed. The proposed assessment rate is $79.25/front foot with typical assessments as follows:

30-foot lot = $2,377.50

60-foot lot = $4,755.00

120-foot lot = $9,510.00

Attached to this memo are a map of the project area and the assessment roll for Council consideration and adoption. A presentation of the final costs and assessments will be made at the Council meeting.

Budget Impact:

The final project cost is $158,551.46, which consists of construction costs and engineering/administration/legal costs.  A breakdown of the project funding is as follows:
