Discussion:
At the November 20th City Council Meeting, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. O-2018-017, a text amendment to the zoning code that created a table of uses for the zoning code.
MN State Statute requires publication of new or revised ordinances prior to them taking effect. Lengthy text amendments, such as this revision are permitted by MN Statute to have a summary published instead of the entire text. Because this text amendment involves changes to over 130 pages of text and large tables, staff is bringing forward a summary for the Council to adopt for publication purposes. The proposed tables will be posted at the Shakopee Library, City Hall, and the City Website to comply with MN Statute.
