There has been discussion with Shakopee Public Utilities on their current rates.  SPUC has presented to the Shakopee Chamber of Commerce's Public Policy Committee and they have requested to present to the City Council in the new year similar information.

Rather than discussing the SPUC WAC charges and ways to offset them, SPUC can have a discussion with Council on those fees and all of their fees and policies.

The economic development policy question is how does the city attract the restaurants that the community desires and how to assist those restaurants to locate in Shakopee.  Similar to the concept for the façade program, what is the best way to incentivize these restaurants?  Staff will look at various programs and options and bring back ideas for Council to discuss.
