Discussion:
When developments are platted, included in the fees are funds to cover the first sealcoat. Those funds are retained in the Sealcoat Capital Project fund to be used when the initial sealcoat is completed. The engineering department has determined that portions of the sealcoating completed in 2018 and previous years are still retained in the Sealcoat Capital Project fund. City sealcoating is paid for in the General Fund from the public works division. A transfer to the General Fund of $12,525.99 for the three projects completed will reimburse the General Fund for the incurred expenses.
Additionally $30,000 was collected for a future bituminous trail from Hyvee when that store was platted. These funds were initially included in the sealcoat fund but it has been determined they need to be moved into the Road Expansion Dedication Capital Project fund.
