| | | | | | | | Policy/Action Requested: Authorize execution of Amendment No. 2 to the Joint Powers Agreement Establishing Transit Fleet Management Software Collaboration | | |
| | | | | | | | Recommendation: Approval as requested. | | |
| | | | | | | | Discussion:
In 2016, the City of Shakopee joined a consortium of public jurisdictions to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement for a fleet management software collaboration. As such, the City of Shakopee has implemented the AssetWorks fleet management software along with Scott County, Carver County, and the City of Burnsville.
Subsequently, three new cities (Apple Valley, Eagan, and Carver) have joined the consortium and Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement was developed to add these cities as well as make other minor adjustments and updates. | | |
| | | | | | | | Budget Impact: Due to the increased number of partners, Shakopee's amount per vehicle decreased and has reduced the city's annual cost from approximately $9,400 (2016 cost) to $6,104. | | |
