Policy/Action Requested:
Approve Resolution amending District
Recommendation:
Approve Resolution amending TIF 18 Canterbury and forward to the City Council.
Discussion:

TIF District 18 would be modified to include four new parcels that includes: County Workforce Center; Crane company; Outboard Marine; and vacant parcel adjacent to SanMar.

 

Inclusion in the District would assist in potential redevelopment of the occupied parcels.  The vacant parcel is the location for the future roadway extension to County Highway 83. By including this parcel in the District, it allows the expenses for the property acquisition and road construction to be included within the overall District budget as qualified expenses.
