The Shakopee Brew Hall has requested to close four parking stalls in front of their business for an upcoming event and suspend city code 110.188 to allow a mobile food unit to operate on a city street.

Policy/Action Requested:
Approve the suspension of city code 110.188 Conditions of licensing for mobile food units, and allow the closure of four parking stalls directly in front of the Shakopee Brew Hall on September 13, 14 and 15, 2019.
Recommendation:
Approve the above motion.
Discussion:

The Shakopee Brew Hall has submitted a request to close four parking stalls in front of their business, and suspend city code 110.188, on September 13, 14 and 15, 2019 to allow a mobile food unit to operate on each of the dates for their two year anniversary event.

 

The mobile food unit will be required to be positioned with their sales window facing the curb for safety purposes

 

The business will be responsible for posting no parking signs the day before the event and barricading the closed area.
