Discussion:
In September, residents entered photos in the annual Show off Shakopee photo contest. The submitted photos will be used in city publications, the city website and more.
This year, four winners were selected by city staff:
- Joseph Yetman, Grand Prize: "Midnight Crossing"
- Katharine Caliri, Activities & Events Winner: "Fight, fight, fight for Shako-high"
- Betsy Stafford-Larkin, Landmarks & Nature Winner: "Sunset Stroll on the Old Bridge"
- Christopher Anderson, People, Pets & Families Winner: "Sister Walk"
The winning photos, as well as additional entries, can be viewed at www.ShakopeeMN.gov/showoffshakopee.

Every September, the city invites people who live, work or attend school in Shakopee to submit photos to the city's annual Show Off Shakopee photo contest. Submitted photos are used in city publications and the website to help promote the community.
The 2019 contest theme was "A City for All Seasons." The winners are:
- Christopher Straub, grand prize winner, "Rainbow over Shakopee"
- Pete Rose, winter winner, "Memorial Park Hoar Frost," and summer winner, "Thole Lake Sunset"
- Tony Samuelson, fall winner (tie), "Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge"
- Kelly Sunde, fall winner (tie), "Hidden Beauty"
