Recommend that Parks and Recreation Advisory Board support the Shakopee Youth Baseball request to make improvements on West Tahpah and Westminster athletic fields at no installation cost to the City of Shakopee, and forward request to City Council for approval.

Shakopee Youth Baseball Association (SYBA) would seeks Parks and Recreation Advisory Board support and City Council approval of 2 projects to improve the quality of the experience at West Tahpah and Westminster athletic fields.  SYBA would like approval to have scoreboards professionally installed at West Tahpah and Westminster, with SYBA assuming responsibility for securing necessary financial resources to cover acquisition and installation.  SYBA also seeks approval to have 4 dugouts professionally installed at Westminster Park (2 on each field), with SYBA assuming all acquisition and installation costs.  

For these projects, the SYBA retains responsibility for all necessary coordination, permitting, compliance and approvals related to these projects.

The projects will improve the quality of the experience for all users and continue to build on Shakopee's reputation as a great place to live and play.
