Discussion:

The Parks Master Plan suggested the creation of a Cultural Corridor from the existing historic Homes Street Bridge to the Landing along the Minnesota River.

The Parks Planning effort brought together the Three Rivers Park District (The Landing), Scott County and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community to discuss the cultural resources that exist in this area along with how important they are to the community, region and the entire state.

The various participants and owners in the area met in late 2019 and it was suggested given the depth of cultural, archeological, historic and architectural recourses in the area, a comprehensive cooperation agreement and management agreement should be completed to coordinate how the area will be interpreted.

The Heritage Partnership Program offers funding to assist in the creation on an interpretation plan and organizational structure.  The Scott County Historical Society will be the lead partners and the other groups will be partnering organizations.
