Recommendation:
Approve Resolution R2020-030.
Discussion:

On September 3, 2019, City Council Authorized the execution of a professional services agreement with WSB and Associates, Inc., for the design, bidding and construction management services for the 2020 Reroute Stormwater to Protect Historic Sites Project, Storm-19-003. This project includes the construction of stormwater infrastructure to reroute stormwater to discharge to an area that will not result in further degradation of the historical and archaeological sensitive area.

Plans have been prepared and are ready to solicit public bids to construct the improvements. Upon approval, the advertising and bidding will commence with a scheduled bid opening on April 10, 2020. Bids would then be considered, currently anticipated for the April 21, 2020, City Council meeting. Construction of the improvements will be performed between May and September of 2020.

Budget Impact:

This project is budgeted in the 2020 Capital Improvement Plan under the Surface Water Fund and will be funded as listed on the CIP sheet Storm-19-003 (see attached). It is also anticipated that Scott County will provide additional funding to contribute to the project.
