Authorize the Mayor to sign the attached letter regarding the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community's (SMSC) application to move the eleven identified parcels into trust status. | | |

On June 9, 2020 the City received notice from the Bureau of Indian Affairs that the SMSC has requested to have real property currently in fee transferred to trust status with the United States of America. The parcels are identified by the following Scott County Tax Parcel #s:

The action of placing the identified parcels into trust would have an impact of $30,870.20 in City tax receipts if done for the year 2020. This tax income will be permanently removed from future receipts. | | |
