Approve Xcel Energy Mountain Bike Concept Plan
Discussion:

The City of Shakopee and Xcel Energy entered into a lease agreement in 2020 for the creation of a mountain bike park on Xcel Energy's wooded parcel adjacent to the Blue Lake Energy facility.

 

The mountain bike trail designer has completed a concept plan that also includes additional trail amenities on the city-owned land around Quarry Lake including a loop trail.  The plan is to start construction on the trail this fall.
