Subject:
Resolution to set the public hearing for the proposed vacation of certain drainage and utility easements in the proposed Whispering Waters subdivision
Policy/Action Requested:
Adopt Resolution No. R2021-006, a resolution setting the public hearing for February 16th for the proposed vacation of certain drainage and utility easements within the area of the proposed Whispering Waters subdivision.
Recommendation:
Adopt the resolution as presented.
Discussion:

KeyLand Homes has applied to vacate certain drainage and utility easements within the proposed Whispering Waters subdivision (see attached vacation sketch). One part of the request is to vacate an easement that was dedicated for a possible future water main in the Meadowbrook Run plat, that is no longer necessary, and the perimeter easements on Lots 1 and 8, Block 1.

 

The other proposed vacation is an easement over the Prior Lake Outlet Channel. The applicant intends to dedicate a new easement over the Prior Lake Outlet Channel as a part of their proposed preliminary plat.

 

The Planning Commission will review the vacation request on February 4th and the Public Hearing for the vacation request will be at City Council on February 16th.
