Accept Bleacher Donation from Shakopee Youth Baseball Association, Resolution No. R2021-015.

Approve Resolution R2021-015, for Bleachers from Shakopee Youth Baseball Association.
Recommendation:
Approve Resolution No. R 2021-015.
Discussion:

Over the past several years, SYBA has taken an active approach in making improvements to ballfields for their programs. Both the City and the Shakopee School District have benefited from their efforts. 

 

SYBA has purchased two bleacher sections for Green Meadows Park and Tahpah West Baseball Field and now wished to donate them to the City. Parks Maintenance supports the overall scope of the projects and has agreed to provide the labor to prep the areas as needed.

 

The City of Shakopee appreciates the generosity of the SYBA, which helps support the City’s parks and recreation services.

 

The estimated retail cost of bleachers is $1,393.72.
