| | | | | | | | Subject: Sewer Availability Charge (SAC) credit application for 7480 County Road 101 East | | |
| | | | | | | | Policy/Action Requested: Approve the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) SAC credit application for Tietjen Family Inc. dba Ace Trailer Sales at 7480 County Road 101 East and waiving the City SAC fee. | | |
| | | | | | | | Recommendation:
Approval of the SAC credit application of 6 SACs and waiver of the City SAC fee.
| | | | | | | | Discussion:
The City Council of Shakopee ordered this extension of sanitary sewer to the East Shakopee Industrial area on January 22, 2013, as part of Sewer Project No. 2013-4. In accordance with the approved project feasibility report, SAC credits would be provided to the businesses who signed a Waiver of Assessment Rights, which indicates the City would provide MCES SAC credits and waive the City SAC (see attached). The waiver was signed accordingly and the SAC Credit Application has been received by the property owner. MCES has made a determination of 6 SAC credits to be applied to this property.
| | | | | | | | Budget Impact: Payment of SAC credits affect the Sanitary Sewer Fund in which these credits were obtained when Rahr Malting came off of the MCES sewer system and have been collected. | | |
