Declare the property listed as surplus property and authorize its disposal.

Staff recommends that council declare listed property as surplus and authorize its disposal.

The police department is in possession of several miscellaneous parts from old squads. These parts no longer fit the current squads and have been replaced. These items include obsolete lightbars, squad partitions, radio equipment, electrical components and control boxes.

Additionally, we are requesting to surplus:

*  Motorola XTS 2500 portable radios.

*  Motorola XTL 2500 mobile radios.

*  Plastic storage cases.

*  2016 Ford Explorer, VIN: 1FM5K8AROGGC67812.

The listed Ford Explorer will go to the Dakota County Technical College as part of our agreement to use their driving track for five years.

Items declared surplus will be sold with proceeds going into the general fund.

The listed Ford Explorer will go to the Dakota County Technical College in exchange for the police department's use of the driving track for five years.
