The design for the reconstruction of Stagecoach Road and construction of a roundabout on Stagecoach Road is underway. Stagecoach Road is an existing collector roadway and is designated by the city as part of the Municipal State Aid system.

As part of the state rules for state aid roadways, certain travel lane and parking lane width requirements must be adhered to. The proposed segment on Stagecoach Road from County State Aid Highway 101 to 700 feet east of the Stagecoach Roundabout (see attached map) do not accommodate parking. Accordingly, the roadway must be designated and signed with a "no parking" zone. A resolution from the city stating as such is required by the Minnesota Department of Transportation for State Aid plan approval confirming the state's design criteria are met.
