Erich Hartwig is requesting the City Council set a public hearing date to consider his application for vacation of certain public drainage and utility easements as dedicated within his property located at 1850 Bass Circle (Lot 34, Block 2, Ridge View Estates).
Mr. Hartwig is proposing to construct a detached accessory structure within a portion of this property that is incumbered by a public drainage & utility easement, which is located south of a Metropolitan Waste Control Commission sanitary sewer easement. This easement vacation is not of concern with City staff, and should the vacation be approved, a building permit would be required of the applicant to construct his desired building. This vacation would not impact the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission easement.
The attached Resolution No. R2021-088 sets a public hearing date of Tuesday, June 15, 2021 to consider the vacation of the public drainage and utility easement. On that date, comments from staff members and utilities, as well as a recommendation from the Planning Commission, will be presented to the City Council for consideration. The Planning Commission will consider the request at its June 3, 2021 meeting.
