At its April 6, 2021 meeting, Mayor and Council approved an application to the 2021 AARP Community Challenge Grant. The city was awarded a $12,500 to enhance the new community garden located on 10th Avenue. The community garden is a partnership between Shakopee Public Utilities, Scott County, MN Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) and the city. Funds will be used to provide two park benches, trash receptacles, concrete (to secure benches, bike rack, etc. and small ADA access sidewalk) and signage. | | |
