On July 27, 2021 the City of Shakopee received its first installment of Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds in the amount of $2,199,407. In anticipation of receiving the funding, staff over the last few months has compiled a list of possible options for using the funds.

It should be noted that many of these projects have had little to no staff work at this point. Staff wanted to present the items for Council discussion and if council was interested in pursuing a project(s), we would then invest time into development of the possible options. Any project would still have to go through our normal processes with oversight and Council actions including approvals. In addition, the use of all funds will be part of an audit process.
