The replacement of two snow plows is included in the 2018 Capital Improvement Plan (see attached information sheets for CIP Nos. Equip-18-010 and Storm-18-002). The snowplows are being purchased under the State of Minnesota Contract No. 120845.
The quotation from Truck Utilities, Inc., is attached and is consistent with the state contract. Two new Kage KBSS10-XL 10' Snowplows will be used with currently owned John Deere 5085 tractors to increase efficiency by combining a blade and box plow for all in one operation. These plows will replace the existing plows that are at the end of their useful life and will be sold. | | |

The equipment is funded in the 2018 CIP under the Equipment Internal Service and Surface Water Funds.The total budget amount per the CIP is $23,200. The purchase amount for the two box snowplows is $11,600 each, which is on budget. | | |
