Discussion:

The goal is to provide a high-quality annual event that citizens enjoy as it attracts visitors and highlights Shakopee's fantastic spaces and people.

This temporary on-sale liquor license enhances the experience for citizens and visitors attending the “Boo Bash” 18+ Halloween Party held at Shakopee’s Lions Park from 7-9pm on Saturday October 30, 2021. Participants will be carded and wrist-banded in order to purchase alcohol. O'Brien's Public House will sell alcohol for this event for the department.

Food trucks have been invited to sell food and beverage further enhance the customer experience. Shakopee service organizations are volunteering to staff games and other activities for participants.  Participants are required to pre-register for the event by October 23, 2021.

This expands on our annual “Spooky Family Fun Night” event, adding something special and specific for adults to enjoy. It has been advertised in the Messenger brochure as well as on kiosks and marquees around the city.
