Administration and collection of the donations was provided by Duane Wermerskirchen, Chairperson of the Downtown Business Group.  The City of Shakopee appreciates the generosity of the downtown businesses and local organizations.

The City's donation policy requires a 2/3 vote to accept cash donations of over $1,000.00 and any donation of real property.

Budget Impact:
The donations will cover the cost to purchase 16 spiral snowflake lights.  The total cost of the purchase is $6,768.00, which leaves a remaining balance of $407.00.  The balance will remain in a separate account to be used for any related incidental expenses or a future downtown project.
