Scott County and all of the cities located in the county have had an agreement for the Scott County Attorney to jointly prosecute criminal complaints since the early 2000's. 

This updated agreement has incorporated the City of Credit River and includes the terms of a October 1, 2014 amendment as well. 

The biggest update is the addition of holding cities responsible for when revenues do not cover the cost of expenses for the actual prosecution of city cases. This is a significant new cost for the City of Shakopee encompassing $26,500 for 2022 and $53,000 for 2023.
