M/I Homes has applied for the final plat of Valley Crest 2nd Addition. Valley Crest is a 175-unit Planned Unit Development (PUD) with three distinct styles of single-family houses that was approved in the summer of 2021. The first phase is currently under construction and the applicant is final platting 36 of the larger single-family lots in this phase. It is anticipated there will be a total of three phases to complete the development. 

The lots in the second addition are located south of Thrush Street. The lot layout / design matches the preliminary plat and Valley Crest PUD. The open space areas of the PUD were platted in the first addition and have been deeded to the city. Development of the open space outside of the trail network will be coordinated by the city's Senior Planner for Parks. 

All departments / agencies that reviewed the proposed plans recommend approval of the final plat.
