The Shakopee Brewhall is requesting to host a food truck at least two weekends a month throughout the dates of June 4th-August 27th. The food truck would be located near the front of the Shakopee Brewhall and would utilize at least four parking spaces.

In 2021, the city council approved the purchase of parklets for downtown Shakopee. The parklets will be installed downtown Shakopee in early spring. Each parklet will require the use of 4 parking spaces. Previously before parklets were purchased, the Shakopee Brewhall have been allowed to host food trucks for special events.

City staff has concerns about food trucks being located near a parklet. Noise, smell, and parking concerns will need to be discussed on how that will affect patrons using the parklets. 

The Shakopee Brewhall will also need to consult with neighboring businesses to make sure they are ok having a food truck parked downtown.
