Trident-Shakopee West, LLC is requesting that the City Council approve the vacation of certain public drainage and utility easements as dedicated within Powers 2nd Addition.
Trident-Shakopee West, LLC is proposing development of Lot 1, Block 2, Powers 2nd Addition. There presently exists an easement that runs north/south thru the center of this lot, which restricts placement of their proposed building on this parcel, therefore, they are requesting vacation of that easement. Should this vacation be approved, the developer of the property will provide new easements for this lot consistent with City Engineering and SPU requirements.
City departments and other outside agencies were given the opportunity to review and provide comments regarding this application. SPU, City Engineering & Planning staff support the request, provided that a title search is conducted to confirm other interest from utility holders in any existing/underlying easements on the property and that new drainage and utility easements be dedicated with the final plat of Powers 2nd Addition.
