Confluence and its design partners, MSR Design and USAquatics have been working on the SandVenture redevelopment for about a year.  The council has approved a preliminary concept design that creates a year round experience and includes an independently run bistro facility.

Under a separate contract, RJM Construction has been chosen as the Construction Manager as Agent, who will work with all of these consultants and their subconsultants to ensure that the project can be delivered on time and on budget.  There may be some long lead time items identified through the final design process and these items will be brought to Council for award early.

This design team was chosen for its understanding of the overall needs of the community and the desire to ensure that SandVenture can be a community place of pride for another 50 years. 

Confluence has been involved with the city's park system since the original award winning parks master plan. 

MSR is an award winning design firm that's specialty is creating outstanding public buildings for communities. Their work includes Pioneer Public Television, University of Minnesota Itasca Biological Station, Eastman Nature Center, City of Minneapolis Public Service Building and SEI Corporate HQ.  They have received numerous American Institute of Architects honors including the 2021 AIA Minnesota Honor Award for the City of Minneapolis Public Service Building.

USAquatics was founded in the 19080s and is a family-owned aquatics consulting firm.  Based in Delano, it includes two world-class water design experts and two professional engineers.  They have completed municipal projects in Spring Grove, Gaylord, Hutchinson, and Princeton, Minnesota.
