Discussion:
When Quarry Lake Park was first developed, there were plans for a large enclosed pavilion that was to be used for corporate events and weddings and that design had a large power need.
Since that time, a new master plan has been created that has eliminated the large pavilion so there is no longer the need for such a large power bank. Currently the equipment is sitting in the park surrounded by a chain link fence.
The current plan is to reduce the power load and relocate some of the equipment including cabinets and meters on to the exterior wall of the new restroom facility. Staff will leave adequate power for special events and planned future improvements in the park.
Council has previously approved the purchase and installation of the prefabricated restroom facilities.
