Subject: Joint Use Agreement: City of Shakopee and Shakopee School District


Policy/Action Requested: Request board members review the agreement, and provide a recommendation to the Shakopee City Council.


Recommendation: Recommend board members review with recommendation that Shakopee City Council approve the agreement.


Discussion: Staff from the City of Shakopee and the Shakopee School District have been working for several years on the language of an update the Joint Use Agreement concerning facilities. The process was delayed by staff chages, policy changes, and COVID impact. The new agreement updates facilities available and outlines current and future operational collaboration between the two entities. City staff request that Shakopee Parks and Recreation Board members review the updated Joint Use Agreement and recommend the Shakopee City Council approve the updated agreement for immediate implementation.
