Staff recently conducted a review of Shakopee's Park Naming Policy, receiving multiple current park naming policies from other metro-cities with assistance from the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association.

After analysis and discussion of the varying policies, staff has concluded that there is no need to change the existing policy.

As members of the Shakopee Parks and Recreation Board, staff felt it would be helpful for board members to review and be familiar with the policy.
