The City of Shakopee contracts for towing services in the event of snow events, inoperable or abandoned vehicles, investigative seizures, and vehicle surrenders. A Request for Proposal was advertised for these services, and the city received two responses. 

After review of the proposals staff is recommending award of the contract to Shakopee Towing, Inc. The proposal is complete and meets all of the requirements that the city has laid out, and is the only applicant to meet the requirement that they maintain operations and all storage space within the City of Shakopee. Additionally, the City of Shakopee has worked with this contractor in the past and has been satisfied with the service they provide to the community. 

The contract is still under final legal review, and will be provided as it becomes available.
