Accept resignation of Public Works Director/City Engineer, Steve Lillehaug, effective January 18, 2023, approve separation agreement, and authorize appropriate city officials to execute.

Steve Lillehaug has submitted his resignation as Public Works Director/City Engineer effective January 18, 2023. The city council is the hiring authority for department heads and must accept the resignation of department heads.

This is a mutual separation agreement. Both parties believe it is in our mutual interest to end Mr. Lillehaug's employment with the City of Shakopee.

The financial terms are payment to Mr. Lillehaug in the amount of $27,116.60. This payment is equivalent to eight weeks pay and benefits.
