Rahr Malting Co. has been a long-standing supporter of the Shakopee Fire Department and continues to be with this generous donation. The Fire Department and Rahr Malting Co. work very closely together to ensure successful operations in case of emergency incidents and will continue to do so. Rahr Malting Co. is donating two MSA LUNAR devices with retractors that are thermal imaging cameras and firefighter accountability devices and eleven MSA SCBA Facepieces that are used in many firefighting, hazardous materials, and rescue emergencies. The total value of equipment donated is $10,000.

The City of Shakopee appreciates the generosity of Rahr Malting Co. and their continued support of the Fire Department.

The City's donation policy requires a 2/3 vote to accept donations over $10,000 of real property.

On behalf of Rahr Malting Co., Janelle Mote, Director of Health & Safety and Darren Smith, Chief Operating Officer plan to be in attendance to give the donation.
