| | | | | | | | Discussion:
Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, applicant, and Shakopee Crossings Limited Partnership, property owners, have applied for approval of Planned Unit Development (PUD) District #11 to construct a financial institution at 1714 Crossings Boulevard (south of McCoys Copper Pint).
The applicant has proposed a 3,040 square foot single story commercial building on vacant property adjacent to the Copper Pint. The property is described as Lot 2, Block 1, Southbridge Crossings East 5th Addition, and the proposed use as a financial institution is a listed permitted use of the B-1 Highway Business Zone. However, this parcel is located within the existing Southbridge Crossings East PUD, therefore, an amendment is required for each use proposed within the PUD boundaries.
The structure will have a two lane drive-up on the south side of the building, and will include a bypass lane to minimize traffic congestion. The site will have 33 parking spaces, where 15 spaces is the minimum requirement. The applicant has provided a narrative describing the building design and materials, with a condition of approval that the proposed design and materials shall be consistent with City Code requirements.
City departments, Scott County and other outside agencies were given the opportunity to review and provide comments regarding this application. Any comments received have been incorporated into the draft Resolution. | | |
