At its February 21, 2023 meeting, Council approved the application to the Minnesota Department of Commerce’s Auto Theft Prevention grant. The MN Department of Commerce grant is providing $45,000 to replace existing squad-mounted License Plate Readers used in the detection of stolen vehicles. | | |

A 10% match is required, however, can be provided through an in-kind match of officer patrol time. | | |
