City policy requires council approve any new hires where the wage or salary is above the mid-point of the compensation schedule for that position. The Communications Department is looking to hire Andrew Coons in the communications specialist - digital media role.
Mr. Coons comes to us with 13 years of videography and production experience, including almost six years with Captivate Media + Consulting, a company that works with school districts and municipal governments to visually tell their stories.
Hiring Mr. Coons at step 6 falls within the advertised wage range. His years of relevant experience, training and production skills make him the ideal candidate and, we believe, warrants him starting at this step. | | |
