Discussion:

The city's second annual TAP2023 will be held on Saturday September 9, 2023.  Last year the event attracted more than 750 people.  This year there are 43 breweries along with booths from four of our entrepreneurs including Written Hugs (cards), Otso Cycles (bikes), Steelhead Outdoors (safes) and REMastered Sleep (water bottles that help with snoring control).

Set up for the event begins at 8AM with teardown after 4PM.  This year we have partnered with the Shakopee Chamber for an after event concert.  Last year we found that the majority of attendees went and ate dinner at downtown restaurants (two had their busiest days of the year). To help keep people in Shakopee, the Chamber is sponsoring a free Rock'n Tap Fest with Chase & Ovation, a band that is a tribute to Prince that will start at 6PM.

The partnership allows the stage to be set up prior to TAP2023 and protect Lewis Street while also allowing a quick flip of the site for the evening concert.

As part of the partnership, the Chamber is marketing both events on radio, print and social media.
