The city has received the benefit over the years of a number of Eagle Scout projects.  The Public Works/Parks staff were approached by a scout to do a sign at Quarry Lake Park that would explain the history of the park along with installation of a bench overlooking the lake.

Communication staff, Park staff and our Senior Planner/Landscape Architect worked with the scout to ensure that the overall project reflected the city's brand.  Communication staff worked on the overall wording and layout. The attached drawing has been approved by staff and the scout.  The scout will also be installing a city-approved bench overlooking the lake should Council approve the donation.

Public Works/Parks staff will coordinate the bench and sign installation.
