Discussion:
Mathew Kunnasery is asking for a loan to improve his property at 100 Fuller Street. Staff has been working with him the past month to make real improvements to the facade. He previously applied to replace the concrete entrance way, which was denied by the EDA.
He is now proposing the following:
Window Replacement of 11 windows along Fuller Street by Midland Glass $19,793
Window Replacement of 4 windows on west side Bens Handyman Service $8,855
Concrete patio by Brady's Concrete & Construction $7,200
Snow melt system by Lange's Plumbing & Heating $23,598
Total Project Cost $59,446
He would match the city's loan with $30,798.
The EDA's funding would only be used for window replacement and the owner would pay for everything else that is proposed.
The EDA is a reimbursement program. Funds are only disbursed after all items are complete and the city has inspected them and the owner signs a repayment agreement per city policy.
The applicant has gotten at least two bids for the items.
The applicant has also agreed to remove weeds from the adjacent vacant lot to the building and to not allow parking on the dirt surface.
