Jay Tobin has served the City of Shakopee for five years. In that time he has repaired and built vital community relationships, significantly improved the service delivery and cost recovery of the city's various recreation facilities, restructured key positions within the department to greatly improve efficiency in operations, and worked closely with the Public Works, Engineering, and Planning Departments on a number of park and trail projects - most notably the full demolition and reconstruction of SandVenture Aquatic Park. Additionally, many accolades that the city has received in the last several years can be traced to Jay's involvement. Most recently, Shakopee was awarded 2023 Complex of the Year by USA Softball at the November, 21, 2023 City Council meeting. 

We thank Jay for his years of dedicated service to our community, and wish him all the best as he looks forward to his new role as City Administrator in Corcoran.
