Public Works - Fleet, Mobile Lifts

The purchase of the mobile lifts is summarized in the attached CIP sheet Equip-24-442. The lifts will be purchased under State of Minnesota Contract No. 230921 through Midwest Lift Works. The quotation form is attached and is consistent with state contract pricing. The purchase amount for the mobile lift is $95,153.22.

The 6 column large mobile lift, is capable of lifting 110,000 lbs. The fire departments engine and ladder trucks exceed lift capacity of our existing in-ground hoist rated for 75,000 lbs. Mobile lifts are also able to lift newer plow trucks with rear wing attachments.

Public Works- Street, Wheel Loader

The purchase of the Wheel Loader sk1094 (4500 Hours) is summarized in the attached CIP sheet Equip-24-426. The wheel loader will be purchased under State of Minnesota Contract No. 221527 through Titan Machinery. The quotation form is attached and is consistent with state contract pricing. The cost of the wheel loader and equipment is $247,901.00 less the trade-in to dealer of $26,692.00, leaving a difference of $221,209.00. The net cost of the wheel loader is $221,209.00.

Table 1 below provides a summary of the costs and funding for the equipment purchases, comparing the actual amounts to the CIP budgeted amounts. All equipment is funded by the Equipment Internal Service fund.
