On January 16, 2024, the City Council awarded the 2024 Ash Tree Removal Project to Carr's Tree Service, Inc (contractor). The bid submitted by the contractor was significantly below the engineer's estimate, which was based on historic tree removal pricing. City staff approached the contractor requesting if they would be willing to expand the scope of the project to include additional trees, which they agreed to.
Change Order 1 includes doubling the amount of trees to be removed, selected from the City's priority tree removal list, which is based on the condition of ash trees city-wide. | | |

The original contract amount is $28,998 and Change Order 1 is in the amount of $31,095. The amended total project cost is $60,093, which falls within the project's authorized budget of $65,000. The Project will be funded by the Parks Maintenance Operating Budget.
